Block

We can split the Block in Passive and Active

Passive Block is when you return the ball with less speed  than the attack.
Active Block you should return the ball with the same speed and spin or even more than the attack.

Preparation
From the ready stance, advance all body closer to the table positioning  the paddle closer to the table.
Bend your knees more than usual positioning your head closer to the paddle.
Turn the trunk and shift your weight to the right leg.

Execution
Make a short turn and shift your weight from the right to the left leg.
You`ve to hit the ball right of the bounce on the rising with the paddle slightly facing down and pointing to the target.
Passive block requires soft grip to absorb the speed while active needs to have a tighter grip to maintain or increase the speed of the ball.
